Supporting the digital network is important. The extension of the GOR is also extremely important for league stability. On those two fronts a victory lap is probably warranted, however, there are far too many moving pieces and unknowns yet to feel really good. Given the nature and length of the agreement it could turn out very well for the ACC, however, it could just as easily lock the league in to a mediocre deal, relatively speaking. Either way the deal did accomplish one goal, it got the league off the bubble as the next one to collapse and put that distinction primarily on the Big 12 with the PAC 12 moving in to the runner up spot. For Swofford, that will allow him to ride off in to the sunset without the league crumbling before he can get out of the door. It should be telling to watch reactions in the coming days and weeks from conference members as well as the rest of the NCAA which should give at least an initial indication whether the agreement is closer to a strong deal or a recipe for long term stability at the price of mediocrity.
